Born in Brussels (Belgium) on 13th February 2000, there was once a brave and intelligent young man, who wanted to be both a big football star and a university graduate. This young man was called Joël Lobanzo Monsheni: “Football is my life, and no one can take football away from me.” was one of his catchphrases. He wanted to show young people that it was possible to combine football and education.
While he was a final year student at KTA Mechelen (Belgium) and playing in the elite squad at Royal Antwerp Football Club (a Belgian club located in Antwerp), nature decided otherwise. Joël Lobanzo Monsheni passed away on 2nd November 2017, following a heart attack on the pitch.
